About Us
We are registered not for profit organisation whose concern to environmental and biodiversity conservation. Founded in 2009 in Aceh Tamiang, Province of Aceh Indonesia. Recently, we actively to run freshwater turtle conservation in Aceh Tamiang, particularly critically endangered species Batagur borneoensis. We have vision to be a leading organisation to freshwater turtle and their habitat conservation. We believe that freshwater turtles are playing a roles to support of our ecosystem of live. The extinction of these species is the extinction of our beautiful earth that given by God!
Excecutive Director (Program director of PTCI) : Joko Guntoro
Completed her study in Social Policy and Development Study in Gadjah Mada University in 2007 and Bussiness Management in Indonesian Islamic University, Yogyakarta in 2003. After completed study focussed on Corporate Social Responsibility Issue, then he join a local organization Foundation for Sustainable Ecosystem in Medan in 2007. In order to response to environmental problems, particularly the emptyness of conservation works of freshwater turtle in Indonesia, he found Lembaga Satucita in 2009. Lembaga Satucita launched initiative “Painted Terrapin Conservation Initiative (PTCI)” since October of 2009. He taking a part as Principal officer of PTCI. He also interested in social media, journalism, exploring the nature, ecotourism activities. Recently, he is also the member of Board of Directors Klub Indonesia Hijau Medan, Commission on Education and Communication IUCN.

36 years old man. Join Lembaga Satucita since 2009. Recently also works as reporter in local newspaper in Aceh, join as secretary in Aceh Tamiang Journalist Association, secretary in Youth of Muhammadiyah in Aceh Tamiang. Treasurer : Sulistiati, A.Md
Beside her job as a teacher in senior high school in Kuala Simpang, she taking a part in Satucita as treasurer since this organization established. Coordinator of Biodiversity Inventory (Research assistant of PTCI) : Kartika Indah Sari, S.Si
Completed her study in Biology in Universitas Sumatera Utara, focussed on herpetology. Before join in Lembaga Satucita, she works as volunteer in Foundation for Sustainable Ecosystem, works as staff in environmental impact assessment at PT Kuala Biru Utama. She has responsible in Satucita such as coordinating the volunteer, conducting field survey in biological aspect for our conservation works.
Field staff (Field assistant of PTCI) : Doni Hermansyah Lubis
Join Lembaga Satucita since 2009 as field research assistant in Project “Preliminary Study of Painted Terrapin in Aceh Tamiang” carried out by Lembaga Satucita since October of 2009 until February of 2010. This study was sponsored by Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA). He is also registered as trainer in Indonesian Red Cross in Binjai Branch, North Sumatera Province. Before join Satucita, he joined Klub Indonesia Hijau Medan as Program Coordinator. His responsible such as for keeping and recording the data of field research, helping in conducting field research needed.
